My 1st summer job when I was 16, was at a Montessori school as a Swim Instructor and lifeguard. I was quickly recruited to teach swim lessons to all the kids in my neighborhood. I always loved the water and growing up in Largo, FL I swam competitively through high school until playing Volleyball in college. I attended The University of North Florida with a degree in Sport Management and Masters in Athletic Administration. Throughout my volleyball career, I continued to cross train in the pool and began teaching surf and stand up paddle when I was 20.
In 2011, I started volunteering for Surfers For Autism where I realized my passion for working with special needs children. Since then, I became a care provider for children with autism and began regularly teaching swimming and surfing for children of all abilities. I have been a reliable and consistent support for many families and I am so excited to play a positive role in your child's life.
Outside of teaching swim lessons I am the founder and Executive Director of Clean Your 904, a local nonprofit dedicated to bringing community members together to keep our beaches, parks, and streets clean. I organize cleanups in Jacksonville and visit local elementary and middle school classrooms to teach the students the importance of keeping our community clean. It has been a long time goal to start my own non profit and business to fill a void in Jacksonville to offer high quality at home swim instruction and to positively impact our environment.
