MEET ALLISON

IMG_1553.jpg

I am a mobile swim instructor who loves to spend all day in the pool.

Super into: Thoroughly reapplying my sunscreen, ocean swims, and teaching children of all ages and abilities to be strong and safe in the pool.

Growing up in Florida, I was raised a swimmer. I was on swim team, loved all water sports, and did my 1st open water swim race in the 10th grade. Naturally, my first job at 16 was as a lifeguard and swim instructor at a Montessori summer camp. That same summer I quickly was recruited to go house to house teaching swim lessons for the kids in my neighborhood.

That's where my passion for teaching and sharing my love of the water began.

I had no idea I would make my first job my career.

Fast forward to 2019, the real Allison Swim was established. Winter of 2020, my second season as a Mobile Swim Instructor, I decided to to further my training and fell in love with the teaching style of Becky Bond, owner of Safety First PediAquatics in St. Cloud, Florida. Learning from Becky, I earned my Safety First PediAquatics certification during my 4-week training where I learned to teach infants, toddlers, and children to swim float swim for fun and self-rescue. Out of all of the programs I have taught in the past, and all of the certifications to choose from, I value how

Safety First PediAquatics bridges the gap between

swim float swim lessons and stroke lessons.

Instead of going from one program to the next with a different instructor, I offer a continuous program that progresses your child into each stage of their development as strong and confident swimmers.

Allison has been one of the greatest investments we’ve made in our daughter’s development. Not only is she knowledgeable and experienced in the areas of water safety and swimming she also makes the lessons fun.

Bridget H.

I have always loved the water.

Born and raised in Largo, FL I was at the beach and pool A LOT. I started swim team at age 7 and I'm so thankful for the countless lessons and stroke & turn clinics my parents kept me in. Growing up I tried every sport possible but always kept swimming because my training in the pool made me better at every sport I played. Even at a young age, I realized the mental and physical benefits of being in the water. Since this photo (age 2.5) I've been in love with swimming.

In 2009, I moved to Jacksonville to play Volleyball at UNF. I received my bachelors in Sport Management and Masters in Athletic Administration. While in college and into my 20s I was always into coaching youth sports of some kind and working with special needs children. Throughout this time I worked for a swim school, volunteered for Surfers For Autism, managed a surf camp, coached High School volleyball, taught stand up paddle and surf lessons, and was a care provider for children with Autism. Today, I am so grateful to have gone back to my roots as a swim instructor to provide

high quality swim lessons in my community!
