STROKE DEVELOPMENT
Building technique, endurance, and water confidence through structured small-group lessons
Stroke Development is a small-group 8 week program Sundays at Fletcher High School. Designed for swimmers ages 6–10 who are ready to strengthen their stroke technique and build their next level of water confidence.
WHAT YOUR SWIMMER WILL LEARN

FOUNDATIONAL TECHNIQUE
Swimmers learn essential skills that apply to all four strokes, including streamline position, efficient kicking mechanics, and controlled breathing.

ENDURANCE & COORDINATION
Through consistent weekly practice in a 25 yard pool, swimmers develop stronger aerobic capacity and efficiency.

WATER CONFIDENCE
Swimmers develop breath control and body awareness while learning how to stay calm and in control in new or challenging situations in the water.
HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
SEASONAL 8-WEEK TRAINING BLOCKS
Your swimmer trains once a week for 8 weeks during Spring, Summer, or Fall. Each block builds skills progressively from week to week.
SMALL, LEVEL-BASED GROUPS
Swimmers are grouped by age and ability to ensure the right pace, challenge, and coaching attention for every child.
SET SUNDAY LESSON TIMES
All lessons take place on Sunday afternoons at Fletcher High School’s 25-yard lap pool. Groups meet at consistent weekly times for the full 8-week block.
EASY SIGN UP & SCHEDULING
Families submit availability, and I place swimmers into the group that fits their age, skill level, and progression needs for the season.

View Program Policies Attendance & Absences Stroke Development is an 8-week training block, and each lesson builds on the previous week. Consistent attendance creates the best learning environment for the entire group. Each swimmer receives one make-up opportunity for the entire 8-week block. This may be used for illness, travel, or unavoidable conflicts. Additional absences beyond the one make-up are not credited, refunded, or rescheduled. Make-Up Date Each season includes 1-2 designated Make-Up Sundays. These days are reserved to provide each swimmer with one personal make-up opportunity. If a swimmer does not need a make-up, they may sign up for an extra session on a Make-Up Sunday at their regular per-session rate, as space allows. Deposit & Payment Schedule A non-refundable $75 deposit is required to reserve your swimmer’s place in the 8-week Stroke Development block. This deposit is applied toward the full program cost of $320. Because groups are intentionally structured based on age and skill, deposits cannot be refunded or transferred. The remaining $245 is due 10 days before the program begins. A payment link will sent through email. Program fees are non-refundable once the block begins.
REGISTRATION
Spring registration opens January 19 for returning students, with a two-week priority window. Text Allison for the link to sign up.
If space remains, enrollment will open to new students on February 2.
